Discount is not the amount paid
How much of the new-car discount is left in the final price?
A large discount sounds good, but it does not tell you the amount paid. Transfer charges, mandatory packages and conditional bonuses can reduce the saving. List and dealer prices must also cover the same equipment on the same price basis.

Your result uses the figures in your offer, not the numbers in the example.
When the discount figure holds up
The percentage only holds when list and dealer prices refer to the same car on the same price basis. Mandatory costs and bonuses therefore stay alongside it.
- Are the two prices comparable?List and dealer prices must both be gross or both net and refer to the same equipment.
- What is added on top?Transfer, mandatory packages and other unavoidable payments increase the amount you actually pay.
- Does the bonus apply to you?Finance, trade-in or manufacturer bonuses count only when you meet the stated condition.
